Truck Song

lyrics

I saw her on the side of the road, with her thumb out in the air. She'd been rode real hard, and put up wet, and legs could've used some Nair.

She said she was goin' to the city, she was tired of that country life. She hopped on in, we drove to Vegas, Where she became my wife.

Now my credit cards are at their limit, and my check books in the red. She don't cook, and she don't clean, and we sleep in separate beds.

My friends say "What the hell's wrong with you?"
And I tell them I'm outta luck. The more I learn about women... The better I like my truck.

The more I learn about the opposite sex, the better I like this beat up wreck. She don't complain about a little bit of Bondo, or when I'm staring at a Silverado.

She ain't happy till the mud's up over the tires, George Jones comin' in on a coat hanger wire. THe more I learn about the sugar and spices, makes this old Ford truck seem priceless.

I saw it on the side of the road, with the hood up in the air. It had a little bit of rust, and four bald tires, that sure coulda used some air. The man said for $400, you can take the heap off my hands, I flipped him the bills, tuned it up, and now she's my very best friend.
