Well… Lucifer and Jesus took the night off
and wound up at the 12 Bar down on old Denmark Street.
They put money on the counter, said, ‘hey make the music louder,
There’s girl up on that bandstand we’re both dying to meet.’

Standing tall and pale beneath a dim blue light
was a girl behind a black veil with a Gretsch guitar
Her songs were torn and broken, her delivery gin soaken.
And after every tune she dragged a Cuban cigar.

Well J.C said to Louis ‘Get the hell on out my face!
Dad knows I saw her first, so you be gettin’ off her case.’
Lucifer went barmy, so he raised his evil army.
Holy war ensued and laid the universe to waste.

But in the end, it all came down to just them two,
Still a kickin’ and a gougin’ in that Soho joint.
Jesus fell defeated but he pulled a blade and cheated.
Then knew that devil ragged to accelerate his point.

From Lucifer’s red belly was a hellcat spawned.
after six hundred and sixty-six long days stood and fell.
She lit up that big cigar; hit a chord on that old guitar
then pulled a thirty-eight and blew both daddies all to hell.
